How to expand/collapse folders in "Mail" for an iPhone 7+

Recently (6/6/20) my email account was changed from POP to IMAP on my iPhone 7+.

Since then all of the folders are permanently expanded which is not to my liking.

How can I close the folders?

Note 1: My main Computer is a Mac Mini running Windows/ Outlook 365.

My phone Mail account is used for scanning the incoming messages to delete the junk and send emails when away from home (not often since Covid 19).

Thanks in advance for your help.

Thank you for loading the gif. It unfortunately did not help my situation.

When I open the Mail program I am presented with the Inbox and all of its 10 sub folders PLUS 46 Folders and over 500 sub folders and 100 sub, sub folders. Note I have about 10 GB of emails stored over a 15 year time period as a Tax Agent and University Lecturer - just in case you think "hoarder alert".

Pressing on the > button/ symbol does not contract or expand but opens up a list of any emails that are at that folder level.

By the way after a while that GIF gets REALLY annoying especially when it didn't solve the problem but thank you for trying.

Hi SravanKrA,

Please excuse my inability to read your mind.

Which web page should be closed? The GIF? The question?

I tried to close the GIF. No luck. It just keeps playing.

I'm not closing the down the question as it has yet to be satisfactorily answered and if that is a GIF of your phone who has that many different email accounts and why would you have them if not up to something suspicious?

If I'm coming across as rude then please excuse me as I've spent more than 20 hours in the past week on the phone & online with Microsoft (Windows 365) , Apple, my ISP and a tech help company that I paid $300 to and I still have unresolved issues all whilst still trying to service my clients and meet a tax lodgement deadline - I'm a CPA so I'm dealing daily with the Taxation Department of my country - just so much FUN !

Again thank you for trying. I do appreciate it.
