To add a description or a caption to photographs taken on my iPhone 10 Max ie: Lily’s Ninth Birthday
iPhone XS Max, iOS 13
Open the picture in the Photos App ➔ Tap on EDIT ➔ Tap on 3 dots (top right) ➔ Choose Markup ➔ Tap on the PLUS (+) Sign at bottom right ➔ Choose Text - Then create your caption and place it on the photo.

Axel, I am a Stroke Survivor...I think and process any information about 6 times slower than your brain. I was expecting the keyboard to appear as the last image TEXT.
