Iphone 8 Plus - Manufacturing Defect

I found numerous articles about Iphone 8 and Iphone 8 Plus having manufacturing defect that needed Logic Board replacement. They did a recall for a few Iphone 8 but it seems there was no recall for Iphone 8 Plus. I am experiencing exact same problem and after the recent IOS update my phone simply does not turn on at all. I took to a Apple authorized dealer (Jump Plus in Hamilton, ON, Canada) and they told me it cannot be fixed. The only way is to purchase a new phone. My phone is new, I purchased it Nov 2018. it does not make sense . I am so frustrated. Today I called Apple and the support specialist recommended to ship to Apple and they would replace the battery, but not sure if this would work. and if it works, I'll have only 30 days warranty. If it is a manufacturing defect this wont solve my problem. Do you guys know how could I solve this problem? or anyone had experienced something similar?

Maybe your phone does have a hardware issue (take it into an Apple Store for determination / service) but the Manufacturing Defect / Logic Board Issue you described were iPhone 8 specific, not iPhone 8 Plus.

Affected units were sold between September 2017 and March 2018 in Australia, China mainland, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Macau, New Zealand, and the U.S.
