My son gave me his Apple Watch. He couldn’t remember his four digit password for Apple Watch. We’ve tried it so many time we have to restart watch. I held down the two buttons and selected erase all and connected to charger. It is stuck on the spinning wheel for over an hour. I tried a hard restart then tried again. Same. Please help

Any luck resolving this issue? Just got a new phone this morning watch kept saying passcode is incorrect and now can’t do a restart, just spinning wheels.
Hey, no resolution. The one reply told me to contact Apple support. I’ve just been busy and haven’t gotten around to it. Let me know if you come up with something!
