How do you help a friend who is locked out of their disabled iPhone & cannot receive a verification code on the disabled phone?

Use the following procedure for a disabled phone. It does not involve using a verification code while the phone is disabled. If you forgot the passcode on your iPhone, or your iPhone is disabled - Apple Support
