iPod connected to wifi but no internet (random)

Hi. I have a new iPod and it is connected to our home wifi with no problems.

At midnight every night it disconnects from the internet even though I am still connected to the wifi.

All wifi settings are fine and from about 5.00am it connects back to the internet.

I have tried powering down and restarting to no avail.
