iPod touch shows network connection but wifi doesn't work

starting my iPod My iPod touch shows that I have joined my network with a full strength indication under the wifi setting however, when I try to use the internet such as iHeart radio, or my browser, I get a message that there's no internet connection. I have tried all of remedies such as restarting my iPod and restarting my router, etc. Very frustrating because it shows i'm connected with a full strength signal but I can't use my wifi.

Hello,

Try resetting iPod touch’s network settings in Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Be certain you do not select Erase All Content and Settings as this will erase all of your information. It is a good idea to perform a backup of your iPod touch prior to resetting its settings.
