Can I edit Smart Controls in Garageband, or must I do it in Logic Pro X?

Hi all - this is a minor point, and one I can readily work around, but can I edit Smart Controls in Garageband?

I often start from an existing Guitar preset, then either change the amp, the pedals or the plug-ins until I have the sound I want. This often then results in a Smart Controls panel with blank gaps, showing controls in the 'panel' appearance of the original preset amp and with some [unused] controls still from Logic strip settings that are not visible in Garageband. Do I have to live with this? I'm not really versed in Logic Pro X (I have it installed), but I suspect there's a way in there where I could 'fix up' my Smart Controls.
