Apple ID impossible to verify- - no way of verifying my identity to unlock account

My account has been locked and the only two options to verify my identity is to click on a link sent to an email or to answer security questions. The problem with both of these is that a) the monkeys designing the verification system have decided to allow the verification email to be that of the account that is locked, so it is absolutely impossible as the email cannot be accessed due to it being the same email as the apple id - how this is even possible is beyond me, they must be so incredibly incompetent to not have a check in place that stops the verification email address from being the same email as the account but of course basic logic does not apply to apple. b) when i set up my icloud account as a dumb teenager i must have accidentally put in the wrong date of birth so the date that it should be doesn't work for the security questions, and as much as i would like to go through every single date to try and unlock the **** thing that would take me a lifetime

I contacted apple support but there only answer was to either magically guess the incorrect date of birth or to create an entirely new icloud account which of course is not an option as i would loose all the purchases, photos, notes etc. on the account

so as of right now there is literally no way for me to unlock my account, would it be possible to go to an apple store with my passport or something so that they could verify that i am the owner of the account or would this be a waste of time?

Also is there anyway way of escalating this so that it reaches the attention of someone who is a part of development so that they can fix the gigantic oversight in the verification system thank you.

See Get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204974  Below is an excerpt, but read the whole document. See the bold italics below.

“Whenever you sign in with your Apple ID on a new device or browser, you'll confirm your identity with your password plus a six-digit verification code. There are a few ways you can get a verification code. You can use the code displayed on your trusted device, get a text or phone call, or generate a code from your trusted device [see the additional information in the article].” A trusted device is an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch with iOS 9 and later or a Mac with OS X El Capitan and later that you've already signed into using two-factor authentication.

“If you can’t sign in, reset your password, or receive verification codes, you can request account recovery to regain access to your account. This link takes you to:

Recover your Apple ID when you can’t reset your password  https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204921which you may need to use.

Account recovery might take a few days or longer, depending on the specific account information you can provide to verify your identity. After you request account recovery, you'll get an email with a confirmation of your request and the date and time of when you can expect to regain access. … When the wait period is over, Apple sends you a text or automated phone call with instructions to regain access to your account. Follow the instructions in the above link to immediately regain access to your Apple ID.

Before beginning account recovery see:

I see: Note that not being to identify your birth date correctly is equivalent to not being able to answer your security questions satisfactorily in the Apple security framework. So see If you forgot the answers to your Apple ID security questions https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201485.

You have indicated, in effect, that you can't answer your security question satisfactorily. So see Security and your Apple ID https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201303

This document says “without proof of your identity via security questions and other carefully selected criteria, Apple Support can't help you reset a password or perform any other actions on your account.”

Thus, we can do nothing to help you, except to mention that Apple support might help you if you have an extenuating circumstance (e.g., you have your receipt for your purchase of a pertinent device from an authorized Apple seller with its serial number on it). If you want to contact Apple Support to discuss any possible extenuating circumstance, see the support options below. Alternatively, if an Apple Store is open in your area, then you can go there to deal with your extenuating circumstance. You also can make a genius-bar appointment (https://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/) if you want.

This doesn't help as the account is locked and to recover the apple id i need to be able to sign in but attempting to do so prompts to unlock account and so the cycle continues... It's not even letting me try to guess the incorrect date anymore the only option is the email which as previously explained is locked as its the same as the icloud account so there's nothing i can do...
