iPad Pro does not load the software after recovery mode and keeps giving the message, "The iPad [device name] could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (9)" and goes black again.

There's a Black screen of death, I've tried the Power Button and Home button long press, but nothing happens. Once I connect the iPad to a MacBook I get the following pop up, Your Mac has detected an iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used.

After pressing restore and update, the apple logo appears and the screen goes black again with the following error message, The iPad “iPad Pro” could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (9).
