iPad Pro/ Magic keyboard bug

My iPad will select (put a blue outline around something like an app) then when I press space it selects that thing. It happens when trying to use OneNote so that when I try and press space in between words it will automatically select the search function instead of putting in a space.

For example, when I type a word and wish to move to the next (as I am doing now on the Magic Keyboard in this support message) instead of moving the cursor a space to the beginning of where the next word is to be typed, it instead goes up to the field labeled DOCUMENT. There are several other keyboard conventions which seem to work differently in Pages then in Notes (which appears to follow the normal keyboard convention or this support field which does as well) so can you please instruct me how to correct this problem by changing the “settings” in Pages which apparently causes this anomaly.

iPad keyboard When I open an app like safari or notes that requires keyboard input and when i try to type the keyboard doesn’t show up. I have to close all my recent apps and then the keyboard still doesn’t show up. When I reopen the app the the keyboard works. Why does this happen? What did i do wrong?

I fixed this myself by unbinding the space key from the activate auto command in settings
