Disable trending on Apple TV
How can I remove trending movies and tv shows from appearing on my home-screen when I turn on Apple TV?

For Apple TV (4th generation or later), you can move the Movies app and Apple TV app from the top to a lower location. Only the icons in the “top shelf” can have related content shown in the banner space above it, or even full screen in the background.
