Model number

i bought a brand new iphone 11 pro and i was told its brand new and i checked the serial number and the warranty was for a year from the day i oppened it so it supposed to be new..but my model number starts with 3f and i was told that it must starts with “M” to be new is that true ? and what 3f means

Here is how to Determine if iPhone is New, Refurbished, Replacement, or Personalized

Open the “Settings” app on the iPhone
Go to “General” and then go to “About”
Look for “Model” and then read the model identifier next to that text, it will look something like “MN572LL/A”, the first character will let you know if the device is new, refurbished, replacement, or personalized:

M – Brand new device, meaning the device was purchased new
F – Refurbished device, meaning the device has been through refurbishing process
N – Replacement device, meaning the originally bought device was replaced by this model likely due to a service request
P – Personalized device with engraving, meaning the device was customized with an engraving on purchase

3F means it was a refurbished phone by an independent refurbisher, not refurbished by Apple. Typically these are replacement phones provided by an outside loss/damage insurer.
