What Apple spreadsheet best for family budgets

Unless Apple has added some Budget templates to more recent versions of Numbers, there are only two choices in the templates supplied with Numbers for Mac: Simple Budget and Personal Budget.

The largest difference between them is the addition of a table to track your expenses in Personal Budget,

Which is "best" is a personal evaluation that depends on what you expect from your budget document. Create a document from one of the supplied templates and plug in some actual date. Do the same using the other template. Ask yourself which comes closer to your needs.
