Belkin USB-C to Gigabit Ethernet Adapter does not work.

Please help me!

I just received the Belkin Ethernet Adapter and the MacBook Pro 16 inch 2019 won't connect to the internet. I tried different drivers already, but it should even work without one. I don't know what to do now.

Catalina is 10.15.5

The router and its cabling worked previously with an older Mac Mini with a 1GB ethernet interface. ventura system settings network settings submenu missing (the actual network settings pane is blank) iMac 27” Ventura 13.1 Systems Settings -> Network has no info on the submenu (or rightside pane). It’s blank. I can run the terminal command networksetup and all my ethernet settings will display and I have no problem with ethernet connectivity. Only the System Settings do not display. I have tried safe mode, a new admin user, a new standard user, and reinstalled Ventura. Nothing changed. On this iMac the System Preference is broken (it works fine on my wife’s MacBook). Additionally, in Wifi, clicking on details does not work. The Details button is not greyed out. Clicking on it does not open the next window. I also booted to recovery and ran first aid in disk util for Data, HD, & Volumes and all checked ok. Love to have a solution to this mess.

Mac Mini internet speeds faster than M1 Mac Studio (both ethernet and WiFi) I've been running speed tests on my M1 Mac Studio (64 GB memory and 4TB ssd) and my Mac Mini (late 2014) and there is a significant difference in download speeds both with WiFi and Ethernet. Mac Mini download speeds: WiFi - 239Mbps; Ethernet 239 Mbps (little variability from test to test) M1 Mac Studio download speeds: Wifi - 160 to 211 Mbps; Ethernet - 60 to 88 Mbps (speeds vary significantly from test to test) Even more surprising is the fact that WiFi downloads are more than twice as fast as ethernet! This has been the situation ever since I received my Mac Studio in August. I have done a clean install of Ventura and I am using Cat 7 ethernet cables with no improvement. I believe there is something wrong with the M1 Macs that Apple needs to fix.
