Turned on my computer today and the top half of the screen is white with colored lines. It’s now down to 3/4s the screen.

I suppose flex cable which connects between LCD and logic board is something wrong.
You'd better contact Apple Support or make Genius Bar reservation or take your MacBook Air to Apple Authorized Service Provider to be examined it.

Make an appointment at the Apple Genius Bar for service after the stores re-open. If you need to find an Apple Store - Find a Store - Apple. Also, see How to find your nearest Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) or Distributor (AAD). You may also get Apple authorized service at a local Best Buy.
