LOCKED MACBOOK

Good day, please what if you got a macbookair as a birthday gift and its locked when it was bought from auction sales and you cant trace back to the previous user. Can the apple support link you with the old user??

Are you seeing a Firmware Lock on it? This is shown with a LOCK Symbol and a space to enter the password.

OR are you seeing a regular log on screen to sign on to the desktop with the username already inserted?

This one is going to be a tough one. You are not going to be able to use that MacBook Air without that password. You can call Apple however I am nearly certain that they are not going to be able to do anything about it either.

Firmware lock thats the lock symbol upon startup
