Combine old and new Apple IDs

How can I consolidate an older Apple ID (on an old IPOD) with my current Apple ID? I am trying to move some old ITunes music (off and old IPOD) to my IPhone.

iPhone 6, iOS 12

You can't merge Apple IDs. You can try setting up Family Sharing between the IDs if you want to be able to share purchases made with the IDs.
