I used airmiles to buy a MacBook Pro. How do I purchase Apple Care?

If your serial number is ineligible, it could indicate a problem with when the item was registered as sold. Better contact the seller and ask them about it. Are they an authorized Apple retailer? Also contact Apple Support through the Contact Support link at top right of this page.

If you entered your serial number on the website, and your Mac was listed as ineligible, there might be an issue with the information on file, or there could be a reason for the computer to be ineligible.

Did you buy it from Apple or from an authorized Apple retailer?

Normally, you have 60 days to buy Apple Care.

If Chase is not an authorized Apple retailer it's unlikely that Apple will make an exception. You might ask the seller to send you a more recently purchased Mac.
