Trying to delete playlists from my Apple Music account

I am trying to delete multiple playlists on Apple Music. It does allows me to delete playlists from my Library but the playlists do not delete from my Apple Music Account. This meaning, when I search my username in Apple Music, it shows/has saved all the playlists that I have deleted from my Library. Here, it does not give me the option to delete them again, it only gives me the option to add it back to my Library. How to I get rid of these playlists for good? If anyone could help that would be great, I have been struggling with this for a while. thank you!

It just might not be refreshing for you until you close the app , then look at it.

It’s a different view from your Library Tab and your username view as well

There’s also an Edit option to hide from public view if you want that, those won’t show under your username. When you create a new playlist it automatically makes it public unless you change that.

Are you able to view your Apple Music account from another device like a Mac or iPad to edit on there? Then it would all sync if you go into settings on your phone settings> music and turn sync library off, then back on again. In other words what actions you take one one device syncs onto the others - if it doesn’t, you do the sync library on and off part.

Try deleting them again, the turn sync library off, then back on

depending on which iOS you’re using, looking on mine on iOS 13.5.1 if I long press on the playlist there’s a remove option

Make sure you’re using the same Apple ID connected to your Apple Music account

thank you for the response. However, I have literally tried everything and these **** playlists just will not delete. have no idea what to other than to delete my whole account? Closing the app/rebooting/refreshing does not work. when I search my Apple Music username from other peoples phones, these old playlists that I want to remove are shown under my name. These playlists have been public on my account before but now they just will not delete, I don not even have the "remove/delete' option. Nor is there an option in 'Edit' to hide them from public view as they do not appear here. I hope this is all making sense? and hoping for a solution?? xx

thank you for the helpful response! I have checked and I am using the same Apple ID connected to my Apple Music Account. I am afraid that if I turn sync library off it will only remove all songs on this device and not help in deleting the playlists themselves. Below I will try insert an image of the options that I have for these playlists. My iPhone is up to date (IOS 13.5.1). I do, however, have the option to delete playlists from my Library, BUT, if these playlists had sharing 'on', meaning I had chosen them to be on my profile and in search, then they do not delete from my 'sharing'. if that makes any sense at all.

so, in conclusion, these playlists (ones that I have shared but then chosen to delete from my Library) still appear in search ONLY. Not on my profile... Had I never chosen to share them in the first place, I would never be encountering this problem. When I make new playlists, I often forget to turn sharing off...

I hope you will be able to see the pic I have attached and I hope this makes sense? is anyone else experiencing the same thing as me????
