Updating apple ID

my devices say I have to update my apple ID settings however when I select update it appears to be trying as the timer goes round but it never completes this, it now does this on both ipads and my new iPhone

iPad Air, iPadOS 13

This may be your problem, an updating Apple ID settings problem. Apple is aware of the problem.

 

Note that some have solved the problem by signing out of iCloud, restarting their devices, and signing back in

Some people have fixed this by signing out of iCloud, restarting their device, and then logging back in. That hasn't worked for everyone.


Some other things you can try. Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.


Try a restart.


Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch         


Try a forced restart.


Reset Device.      


If necessary


Hard reset.        


Do a backup and try a factory reset. Then restore from your backup.


Restore to Factory setting.      


Backup - Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup.
