IPhone 6s Plus locked to US only. From research I understand this is an old problem. But no one has given a definitive answer yet. Bought an iPhone 6s Plus from a reseller that claimed it was unlocked for international use. It was not. It is locked to a “US GSM and Verizon iPhone 6/6 Plus Service Policy”. It is the initial activation, the last activation and the next activation policy. I used it for 10 days on a prepay T-Mobile sim and after returning to Fiji it will not accept my Fiji Vodafone sim as valid. Also...this phone looks to be an Apple warranty replacement. Many articles I’ve read say this is an Apple problem (they assigned the wrong next activation policy) but good luck getting them to change the activation policy. T-Mobile says it is not locked to their network. I tried an unlocker service and they said the EMEI is not in any database. The Apple support person I talked with had no clue what I was talking about. This is my first iPhone...wanted to try one out before laying out the cash for a newer one. Man...this sucks. Does Apple really lock what should be an international iPhone to the US? Unbelievable. Workarounds, anyone? - Jan

how can i change the original phone? i have no access to the previous SIM card because i have moved to Europe? My original phone was china main land, I have no access to that number any more because I have moved to Germany, how can I get rid of the previous phone number?

Device with an incorrect activation policy Hello, I have bought phone on eBay with incorrect activation policy, it's locked on US GSM and can't use with international sims, for example now I'm traveling in Georgia, Europe and it doesn't works with Georgian GSM sim cards, when I looked out in Google and forums they said that Apple should help us because phone isn't locked on any carrier its with incorrect activation policy by Apple, its Verizon phone and we all know Verizon can not legally lock phones, so I want to contact with a Level 2 Support Technician or a Senior Level Advisor who can help me because it's refurbished phone and it is with incorrect activation policy when I'm checking imei it says "US GSM & Verizon iphone 6/6 Plus Service Policy" it works with any sims in US but doesn't works outside US, Phone imei: please help ASAP [Personal Information Edited by Moderator]

Your device is carrier locked and you need to get the old lock removed by the last carrier.
