FCXPro takes a lot of time to render on a iMac 27" late 2013 with i5, NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M 1 GB and 16gb memory. Would it be of any help if I upgraded the Graphics card and the memory up to 32gb?

The graphics card and VRAM in the imacs are not upgradeable.
It depends on what you have to render, but for most things upping the RAM will not improve performance. Upping the VRAM Is more likely to, but again it depends on what you're doing and what you're rendering to.
The RAM is upgradeable, but the VRAM is not.
Not sure about the graphics card but the thing the 2013 was still RAM upgradable.
