Wifi doesn’t work on one user but works on the other

Hello,

I can’t use the WiFi on the main user profile of my MacBook even though I’m connected to the router but when I go to the guest profile I can use it. I also can’t share the WiFi of my IPhone to the Mac or do simple things such as sharing the password of the router.

How can I solve this ?

Hi Clouty973,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. I understand you are having issues with your MacBook connecting to the internet. I'd be happy to help.

Before we continue further do you have a backup? If not that's alright. It's always recommended to have a backup before troubleshooting potential issues. If you'd like to make a backup here is a great resource: Back up your Mac with Time Machine

After you have created a backup I would recommend taking a look at this resource related to internet connection issues: Solve internet connection problems on Mac

In addition, I'd also recommend taking a look utilizing a new network location on your Mac to further troubleshoot your settings: How to use network locations on your Mac

Enjoy your day.
