Auto Populate Incorrect Email Address

I have a MacPro and want to download an iMovie update. When I click it auto populates the AppleID with the email address for my old company and it won't enable me to change it. What can I do?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.14

Hello RogersUsa5,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

It appears you have an older Apple ID email account to your App Store account, correct? I'm here to help you take a look in to that!

First, let's check to see if the App Store in signed into this account. Open the App Store app > Use the Menu bar on the top of the display > Click on Store > Sign out of incorrect Apple ID and sign in with correct Apple ID:

Sign in with your Apple ID

Would this Apple ID have been saved in your iCloud Keychain? I would recommend checking the keychain the verify if this Apple ID in currently in there and remove it from the keychain. Here is an article on saving user names and passwords on your Mac:

If the issue persists, please don't hesitate to post a reply on the thread!

Cheers!
