What is Reiwa? This shows up on three of my contacts which has a half moon next to the three contacts?
Why can’t I put the year of my birthday
in as 1963? It only shows Reiwa or other odd things

Reiwa is a Japanese calendar. Let's start by checking your Calendar settings to verify that the language and time zone are correct as shown below from this resource: Customize your calendar on iPhone
"Go to Settings 
> Calendar, then choose the settings and features you want"
Additionally, restart your iPhone and make sure that the iOS is up to date as well:
Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
