Text Message Pulls up Email instead of Phone Number

My Iphone 11 is new and nothing else changed. When I go to text messages and type the persons name to send a text - the iphone only shows the persons email not their Phone Number. I tried the two suggestions offered on support but neither worked. Still having this issue with many of my contacts. It worked fine on my old Iphone 7

Hello Lake7,

I can see you're running into an issue with your Messages app reverting to sending all your text messages to an email address rather than a phone number. I can understand wanting to edit these settings so your texts are sent to their phone numbers.

When starting a conversation to one of these contacts, try entering their number instead of their name so that it sends specifically to their phone number. If this does not work, the contact may have their settings set to start new conversations from their email:

Add or remove your phone number in Messages or FaceTime

Cheers!
