facetime apple id

i have a macbook air and have used facetime on it before but for a while now its been saying an error occurred during activation and i have no clue how to fix it

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.13

Have you tried restarting your MacBook Air to see if that helps?

Are you running the latest version of macOS on the MacBook Air?
