How to setup a SSL based VPN in Mac without using any third party application

I am trying to setup a new VPN connection using Network settings inside System Preferences.

While setup, it give 3 option to select VPN type, as listed below:

- L2TP over IPSec

- Cisco IPSec

- IKEv2

The VPN server that we have is SSL based.

Does Mac has support to connect to SSL based VPN using Native In-Built tools ?

If yes, then how to setup and add login details ?

As of now, we are forced to use a third-party application named FortiClient to help serve the purpose.

I have added a screenshot below for your reference, to see, what details are used to configure FortiClient.

Let me know, if more details are required.

SSL VPN work very differently from more 'traditional' IPSec networks. There is no OS-level support for them because they operate entirely within the context of a web browser, not at the top level of the network.

If you need a web interface, you are likely out of luck.

If however, you are looking for a command line interface,

macOS Catalina comes with a version open openssl built

in. I have been using it quite heavily recently developing a

secure embedded server. The openssl also supports communication

via TLS as well.

How one would go about accessing it in a web environment is

beyond my playbook, if it is even possible.
