View airport extreme wired connections

Hi all,

With my airport extreme (final edition, not time capsule - looks the same, but without hard drive) - I can view all wireless connections to the device, however, i cannot view wired connections - does anyone know if this is possible?

AirPort Utility not detecting AirPort Express (2nd Gen) to extend existing AirPort Time Capsule network I have an AirPort Time Capsule 3TB 802.11ac connected and working. I want to extend this existing network with an AirPort Express 802.11n (2nd Generation) but it's not showing up under Other Wi-Fi Devices ("No new Wi-Fi devices discovered") in AirPort Utility (v6.3.9). I connected the AP Express to the AP Time Capsule using a physical ethernet cable and AirPort Utility immediately detected the AP Express and I was able to configure it. While it was connected, I made sure that all devices had the most recent firmware versions available. However, once I disconnect the cable it's not able to detect it over wi-fi. Here's what I have done so far: Restarted my computer, AP Express, and AP Time Capsule Hard reset all devices and successfully re-created the network using the AP Time Capsule Screen captures of current config in case that can help Thanks in advance for your help.

Airport Express Keeps switching Airport device it is connecting to. Hi, I have a 1st gen airport express which is meant to connect wirelessly to my 6th gen AirPort Extreme and then wirelessly to my airport time capsule. The issue I have is the airport express often switches from being connected from extreme to time capsule. I then reset it and usually within 24 hours it has done the same thing. I want to try keep it connected to the extreme as it is located closest. Thanks in advance for any help.

AirPort connectivity Hi! Currently I’m saving this setup: main router - 5ghz only output, and range extender - 5ghz input and 2ghz only output (for smart home devices only +iPhone). I consider buying AirPort Time Capsule as the main router, and AirPort Extreme as the extender. The question is if I will be able to use this exact input/output with AirPort setup? Many thanks!

Thanks for posting to the Apple Support Communities. It's completely understandable to want to see wired connections on your AirPort Extreme.

You can only sire the wireless connections as the AirPort Extreme was set up specifically for Wi-Fi. You can learn more here: See your Wi-Fi network in AirPort Utility on Mac
