Bluetooth Device Lags/Unresponsive on MacBook Pro 13" 2020.
Both my Logitech M337/M535 Bluetooth Mouse and my Logitech K480 Bluetooth Keyboard are glitching out on the 2020 13" MacBook Pro I just bought. These Bluetooth devices would 'lag' or become unresponsive after some time of using. I have been trying to find out what's been triggering this odd behavior but I couldn't find any possible trigger. I have tested both devices on two MacBook models. One's a MacBook Pro 13" 2017 (no touch bar), another's a MacBook Pro 13" 2020. The issue seems to only occur on MacBook Pro 13" 2020. Here are some of the attempted fixes (failed to solve the issue):
- Turn Bluetooth ON/OFF (Device cannot be connected after turning bluetooth back on)
- Remove and pair the bluetooth device (Device would either not show up on bluetooth settings upon removal/Device shows up but unable to be connected)
- Reset Bluetooth module
- Delete Bluetooth preferences file (.plist)
- Install new batteries on Bluetooth devices
- Reset Bluetooth Devices
- Erase Startup Disk and Re-install MacOS (issue shows up almost immediately after finish setting up mac)
- Reset Home Folder Permission
- Boot Mac into Safe Mode (Issue appears after some time)
On the other hand, this issue does not seem to affect Bluetooth Sound Output Devices (e.g. AirPods, Sony Bluetooth Speakers) but only affects Logitech products. I am not sure if it is a Logitech issue or a Catalina Compatibility issue.
Also, I discovered two *possible workaround for this issue but it won't solve it:
- Restart MacBook
- Use another user on MacBook (not entirely sure if it actually works, the issue can take hours to show up without a possible trigger.)
Please help me out.
