Looking into Apple Music but I have lots of non Apple downloaded content

I have 456GB of content from various CD's and downloads over the years. Can Apple Music handle that?

Second question, do your existing playlist transfer over from computer to cloud?

There is an upper limit of 100,000 tracks for Apple Music or iTunes Match cloud libraries. iCloud Music Library matches or uploads your content and will incorporate your playlists, assuming you don't exceed the track limit. I'm not sure what happens if your library is too large and you try to enable iCloud Music Library. Personally I have about 65k tracks in my main library and about 10k in a smaller library that I use for Apple Music across my various cloud enabled libraries and devices.
