External lightening microphone not working after using USB microphone

Iphone X, latest IOS software installed.

I have been using an external microphone while recording video on my iPhone that I would connect via Audio Jack --> Apple Lightening Adapter --> iPhone. It worked great for years

I recently started using another external microphone with a USB Receiver --> Apple USB Adapter --> iPhone, and that worked great.

After using the UCB microphone, my iPhone is now not recognizing the the other microphone (Audio Jack --> Apple Lightening Adapter --> iPhone).

Can anyone explain how to fix this? Why would it not recognize it after using the USB mic? Thanks

iPhone X, iOS 13

Good afternoon ilikegirls,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

It sounds like you are having issues switching between external microphones on your iPhone X. Which two microphones are you working with? Check with the manufacturer to see if there are any updates for the device since you have upgraded your iOS.

If you have not already done so, please restart your iPhone to refresh it and then reattach the individual pieces in the chain to your iPhone X again. You may need to go into the the sound settings for the software you are using to switch the input back to the correct microphone.

Restart your iPhone

Refer to the user manuals for your two devices for more information.

Take care.
