Macbook Pro won't boot up

Good Evening, my macbook pro no longer boots up. Today I cleared space in my laptop to attempt to download catalina. After downloading catalina my laptop shut off and now it's screen is completely black. It was plugged into its charger and the charger is fairly new. The charger was working fine earlier and was charging my laptop during the update. Once the update was finished my laptop turned off and the light from the charger no longer shines. Is there any way I can boot up my laptop or am I just stuck on the black screen of death forever? I tried holding the power button and I don't hear any sounds.
