How to enlarge finder font
Finder fonts, open and save dialogs, menus etc are very small
How do I enlarge them?

You do have a option >System Preferences>General>Finder sidebar icon size
For more control of Finder font, you can submit your user experience with the interface and suggest a change:

I will add the < Command = > is the universal key shortcut for enlarging Font locally

For Finder windows, open any of them and click Command+J. You can set the text size from the default of 12 up to 16. If that's what you want all future folders you create to use, click the Use as Defaults button.
You're right. Don't press too hard or it could get messy.
The only way would be to change the screen resolution in System Preferences > Displays

Haha! I just noticed I wrote click Command+J. I don't think pressing a mouse against the keyboard would work very well. 🙂
