I want to create an apple ID for my new iPad but I am unable to pass the confirm phone number page, I do not want to add my phone number to my iPad. I have a different email ID but it still keeps asking me for the phone number.
You are required to provide a telephone number in order to create an AppleID. No way around that requirement. And you would not be adding it to your iPad as an iPad cannot have a telephone number associated with it other than when linked to an iPhone. You’re only providing the telephone number for your AppleID account information.
But why can’t you use your existing AppleID? The one you’re using right now to login here to the forums and post? You don’t need a new AppleID just because you have a new device.
If you did make a new one, it won’t have any access to anything currently tied to your existing AppleID.
