iCloud Recovery

My name is Kyra Mincey, and I am attempting to access my iCloud account. My previous phone was damaged beyond repair, and I have a new service, and number. I am able to send ID verification that I am in fact the owner of the iCloud account . I know the password but cannot get passed the 2 factor authentication due to the number change. I am currently logged into my mothers account with her permission, so that I may talk to support and resolve my issues.

thank you.

You can edit your personal information, including phone 2FA phone numbers, by logging into your AppleID account at https://appleid.apple.com

If you are locked out of your Apple ID account you can go to https://iforgot.apple.com

This will provide you with the recovery steps you put in place for this situation.

Here are some support articles that should help:

If you forgot the answers to your Apple ID security questions - Apple Support

If your Apple ID has been locked or disabled – Apple Support

Use a web browser go to iforgot.apple.com

Enter Apple ID only and click on continue .

Enter the old number that is deactivated in the empty field and click on continue .

You have to follow these steps the new number will be verified , with different cellular service , the Apple ID account is set up with 2FA and is active on the server , you only changed the services / mobile number as the old phone was damaged .

In the last screen shot , you can enter the new mobile number , click on continue and get the code .
