Right AirPod mic is not working when answering incoming/outgoing calls

My right AirPod suddenly stopped working with incoming and outgoing calls when I try to speak into the mic. The person calling cannot hear any audio coming though my side (usually I have only the right side AirPod in my ear)

When I took the right one out and inserted the Left AirPod, everything was working fine for incoming/outgoing calls with regards to mic and speaker.

I have followed the below steps twice, but have had no luck

> cleaned the AirPod case, individual AirPods thoroughly

> have clicked on “forget device” through my mobile phone

> followed the instructions and re connected my AirPods to my phone.

however still no luck with the right side AirPod In terms of calls. however, the left AirPod works perfectly in terms of mic and speaker. And also no issues with speaking into Siri

however, the right AirPod doesn’t seem to even pick up Siri. Wondering if it’s a mic issue

this is my second pair of AirPods in less than a year! The other paid just stopped working altogether! 😔
