I've turned on icloud photos on my phone, but not all the photos have uploaded onto my macbook. It's only uploaded photos up until March. I've checked whether it's still uploading but it's finished. How do I get the most recent photos and videos on there?

If the photos are at iCloud.com/Photos, try going to System Preferences/iCloud (Apple ID for Catalina) and stop Photos syncing by unchecking the box. Wait a couple of minutes, then check syncing. Allow time for the sync to complete. The photos sync is very.very slow.

Last resort  - have you tried signing out of iCloud, restarting, and then sign back in?
