Sidecar does not work between MacBook Pro and iPad Pro (9.7 inch)

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15
I have a MacBook Pro (2017, MAC OS 10.15.5) and an iPad Pro (9.7 inch, IOS 13.5.1). According to specs posted on Apple they should work together using sidecar.
iPad using iPadOS 13

Perhaps. Having adequate equipment is not the only requirement. You need proximity, iCloud, etc.
