Unable to sudo following upgrade to Catalina from Mojave

So I upgraded to Catalina but getting an error when I'm trying to use sudo. There're several threads and discussions on this topic already. Below is the error message from terminal.

(base) ardey-macOS-1:~ ardey$ sudo su -
sudo: error in /etc/sudo.conf, line 2 while loading plugin "avecto_policy"
sudo: unable to load /usr/local/libexec/Avecto/Defendpoint/1.0/sudo/sudoers.so: 
dlopen(/usr/local/libexec/Avecto/Defendpoint/1.0/sudo/sudoers.so, 9): 
no suitable image found. Did find:
	/usr/local/libexec/Avecto/Defendpoint/1.0/sudo/sudoers.so: 
code signature in (/usr/local/libexec/Avecto/Defendpoint/1.0/sudo/sudoers.so) 
not valid for use in process using Library Validation: 
mapping process is a platform binary, but mapped file is not
sudo: fatal error, unable to load plugins

Any ideas on how to resolve this? Thanks in Advance!

Sounds like you have some third-party security interfering with the built-in security, Avecto Defendpoint. I have no idea what it is or why anybody would install it. Is your Mac managed by a company IT policy?
