My iPhone is configured only with the Portuguese language (Portugal) and the messages notifications appear in English.
Even after restoring and using no backup!
Already tested on several versions of iOS.
What could cause this problem that happens right after a system restore?
My SIM Card? My iCloud account? :/

Delete all keyboards, calendars,, timezones, date, close location in privacy settings. and hours and restore to icloud.
delete iphone to fabric settings, install with your timezone settings, for your data you can restore from icloud, this is how it is solved.
seems like at some point phone refers to other country or place because of something.
to clean messed up mind.

I have same problem my phone setting is in Turkish but sms notification says "text message" in english.
restored a clean install, but problem still persist.
