Hi, I remember there was a separate app/ icon in the iCloud that I could access to my photos on iCloud in the past and I could set “download new photos to PC”. However, after I formatted my PC recently and reinstalled my iCloud, the iCloud photo icon is missing and when I go into iCloud and click on photo option, there is no setting to download new photos to PC anymore. Can anyone help me please? I am using windows 10. Thank you

I have found out the reason why. When download iCloud app, we must download from Apple website, even for windows version. I download from Microsoft store that’s why lots of features were missing. Very misleading.
Hi Sterling R, thank you for your reply. Yes, I did all the steps as mentioned in the link, however, the layout inside the option of my iCloud photo has only 2 things listed, icloud photo and shared album but no “download new photos and videos to my PC.
