iphone se 2020 speaker makes a pop sound

this happens to my iPhone SE 2020 too. ive only noticed it happen when i am charging my phone. its a loud "pop" sound from the bottom of the phone. my phone is always on silent, and the "pop" always startles me. my phone has been working fine though. and, the pop sound only happens maybe once every few days, so it isnt a huge deal. but, i am curious to know what is causing the sound, and i am also curious to know if it is potentially dangerous or not. other than this issue, i love my iPhone SE 2020. thanks!

I found out that’s it coming from the speaker area for some odd reason so thankfully it doesn’t seem to be dangerous. I initially thought it was my charger or the charging port.

I love the phone too, ended up switching to Verizon and I got it free.. it’s absolutely one of the best phones you can get for $400, if u were to buy it.

(The one complaint I have is the battery life isn’t that great, only okay.)

Just bought my iPhone se 2020 brand new in Feb. 2021. So it is only a couple of months old. Whenever I charge my phone it makes an occasional popping noise every single time I charge it. It has been doing this since the very first time I charged it. I’m terrified it is going to blow up! I NEVER charge it unattended as I’m scared it is going to somehow blow up and start a fire. I literally sit next to it the entire time it takes to charge it. I read the rest of the reviews on here stating the same problem so I know this is a reoccurring problem with this phone model. I do NOT trust my phone and it gives me really bad anxiety every time I have to charge it. This is the first phone I have ever owned with this particular problem. Has there been a recall? Are we allowed to exchange it for a new one that hopefully does not have the same problem? Help!

I am on my second iPhone SE2 and they both have the same problem. To my knowledge, Apple has not issued a recall on this issue. The pop is monitoring consistent so it’s hard to pinpoint the root cause.

iPhone SE (2020) speaker popping sound randomly (or pattern not recognized)

I’ve noticed mine making a short popping sound very sporadically, although it appears to be occurring more frequently in the last couple of weeks.

I am having the same problem. Super random popping noise even though my phone is on silent.

same dude it happened when i was play cod mobil!

I have also noticed this happen to me once or twice while playing Call of Duty mobile on my iPhone SE 2020

May I ask have you taken it in for repair? were they able to do anything?

Yes, seems to happen during game play. Did not improve with update to 14.2.

Could you guys please let me know if the popping sound only happens when you’re charging and playing on the phone at the same time? Much appreciated , trying to get answers
