Lost iphone

Hi Apple Support Communities,

My Iphone was stolen yesterday, it's obviously recorded that my Iphone is offline and I have turned on Lost Iphone mode for my Iphone on my laptop after that. However, when I log in Icloud today, it's notify that there is no device, no more any information on my Iphone. I don't know what happen to my lost Iphone. Can you help check if the "Find my iphone" function not work well? Can the theft hack my icloud and use my iphone as the new one?

Welcome to the Apple Community.

It's possible to erase it from 'Find My', could you have done that instead of putting it in lost mode. The device should remain in the 'Find my' app until you remove it, even if it can't be located.

But I just turn on lost mode and never erase it. In the morning, my device still remained in the "Find my" app, when I loged in icloud to check my device in the afternoon, my device is no longer in the device list.
