cannot connect to a ION bluetooth speaker

Cannot connect my iMac to ION Bluetooth speakers model is (Insta Sound). The iMac does a continuous search for any devices but it is never located, have the speakers fully charged sitting on the desk beside the iMac. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
