I can't login to apple messages and FaceTime

Upon attempting to login to my face time I keep receiving an error message that states authentication error.

Cant Sign in to iMessages or Face Time I am currently trying to set up imessages and face time but I cannot get past the login page. Ive reset my password several times but still to no avail. If i put a deliberate wrong password it highlights in red below the logins but if I put the correct password in it says its wrong in a blue pop up at the top of the screen???
