10 XR Charging from IMAC

I connect my iPhone 10XR to my IMAC and the phone does not take a charge from the computer, why is this? Phone charges fine from wall cords just won't work with IMAC.? HELP.

Use your USB lightening cable --> Resolve USB-related alerts in iTunes - Apple Support
