Scanning to MacBook Pro

My HP Envy 5530 series will receive print instructions and print documents from my MacBook Pro, but I cannot get my HP Envy 5530 to scan documents to my MacBook Pro laptop, I have tried everthing ,I think

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Refer to Scan images or documents using your Mac - Apple Support.


The HP ENVY 5530 e-All-in-One is an Apple AirPrint-enabled device. It must be installed that way in Printers & Scanners. If it is not, then delete its entry in Printers & Scanners and add it again, this time being sure to specify AirPrint.
