I am trying to run sound libraries from an external drive. I have Spitfire BBC Orchestra loaded but Logic is not finding it. How do I tell Logic where to go?

The Spitfire BBCSO comes with its own player plugin. You must use the Spitfire Audio application to resolve your issue. Look for updates and the Repair option. Do your validations for macOS and Logic version compatibility.

The best way to mess with it is to move the samples manually. That is what the Repair button in the Spitfire Audio application is made for.

You definitely need to drop a line to the spitfire support team (who are excellent). I’m not sure how you’ve gone wrong, you download from spitfire audio app, decide where you want the samples as part of that process and that’s it. You need to do nothing more. What did you do?

I'm assuming you are trying to load it into Kontakt? Then it is not Logic that should find it, but Kontakt.
You have to do this:
Spotlight will find it and Kontakt will load it. After that, resave your Kontakt preset and next time it will load as it should.
